Meg Thomsen

    Meg attended Moravian College with Margaret and they hated each other for the first year! Then they had to live together - the gloves came off and the hugging started! Meg is one of the founding members of “Margarets of the Islands”, rides bikes, wears birkenstocks, and is Margaret’s favorite hippie of all time!

Karen Kaleuati

    Karen is Margaret’s younger sister who lives on the other side of the country, Baltimore, to be exact. She is finishing up a degree in physics at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, works for the American Institute of Physics, and also loves aquariums!

Taryn Ferguson

    Taryn and Margaret have been pen pals since the 5th grade! They were introduce by their mothers, who were best friends when they were in high school. It was Taryn who took Margaret out to her first all ages show and clubbing - - life has never been the same since. Taryn currently resides in North Syracuse, NY, which is where they first met.

Bryant Vo

    Bryant was a band nerd in high school with Matt, and they still hang out and ride bikes together.  He’s currently an optometrist, recently graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA.

Mark Hamamura

    Mark is the UCI Band Director, who also has a PhD in Physics.  It’s ultimately his fault we’re together (no matter how he tries to blame it on his girlfriend) and so we figured he should stand up in our wedding.

Cory Claussen

    One time at band camp, Margaret and Cory became best friends.  Matt thinks he’s pretty cool, too, so we’re going to make him dress up.  He’s currently doing something in Washington, DC.
